Vietnamese food is about the balance of flavours, of sweet, salty and sour – there is no measuring device that can ever match your own taste buds.
Spend an afternoon with me and my mum and learn how to cook simple Vietnamese dishes at home. We will look at traditional ways of cooking and eating as well as see how we can adapt to what we have available. We will learn about the basic way of cooking healthy and delicious everyday meals.
The classes are held in my kitchen studio in London Fields off Broadway Market by the canal in Hackney.
During the class, we will talk about the essential ingredients, yin and yang of food and we go through the typical breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will be eating together throughout because tasting is truly how you can learn.
Vietnamese food is about the balance of flavours, of sweet, sour, salty, hot and umami; the balance of texture and the beauty of colour and vibrancy.
